We formed Mutopo in 2007 to enable us to focus on bringing great products and services to life. We have had a hand in launching many new products, services and businesses from online dating to cosmetics, from mobile advertising to security software.
We met in 2001 while working for StarMedia (now part of France Telecom’s Orange subsidiary). Since then we have worked for and with large organizations such as L’Oreal and Time Warner and startup
organizations such as govWorks (the basis for Startup.com) and Sundari.
We are fascinated by the process of creating and selling new products and services.

We studied business, engineering, marketing and product development and have both been published in the area of economics, product development and media and written for organizations such as the Economist Intelligence Unit.
We seldom work alone and have long standing, working relationships in diverse areas such as packaging design, user experience design, search engine marketing, software development and mechanical design to name just a few. Our network spans the US, Latin America, India, South Africa and Europe.
We are flexible in our client relationships. Traditional time and materials or fixed scope projects work fine. But we do like to share risk, as we believe this aligns interest, so sharing in revenue and working for equity are always possibilities. In fact, when the opportunities present themselves in some cases we have made a number of early stage investments.
